Northwest Regional Prevention Council RFGA for Home Visiting Services

The Northwest Ohio Regional Prevention Council are interested in receiving applications for projects that are innovative and well developed in addressing primary and/or secondary child abuse and child neglect prevention in the following counties: Hancock, Lucas and Wyandot counties.  Applicants can propose to serve one county, multiple counties or all three counties.

Through this competitive opportunity, potential applicants may apply for funding to support in-home evidence-based parent support and skill building programs as outlined in the below list of permissible services.

As this funding must be expended in SFY 2021, we are seeking proposals that include already trained professionals and/or that demonstrate the applicant’s ability to leverage resources in order to receive training in one or more of the abovementioned evidence-based models.

Funding

The Ohio Children’s Trust Fund Board has awarded $92,543.63 to the Northwest Ohio Region for child abuse and child neglect direct prevention services through June 30, 2022.

The funding period begins July 1, 2020.  All funded programs should begin no earlier than July 1, 2020, or upon issuance of an agreement with Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center and be completed no later than June 30, 2022. Organizations eligible to apply for funding include for-profit entities, local governments, public or private nonprofit health and human service or education-related organizations, as well as collaborations among these organizations.

All applicants must complete and submit a budget form as part of their application packet. No matching funds or in-kind contributions are required. All proposed expenditures must directly relate to the service of conducting primary and/or secondary prevention programs within the community, in alignment with the permissible programs outlined in this application. For definitions of what are allowable and unallowable expenditures, please refer to Attachment D: Allowable and Unallowable Expenditures.

This is a cost reimbursement grant and funds will be paid to each grant award recipient upon submission of an approved invoice for services performed during the billing period.

Instructions for Applying

In SFY 2021, interested organizations will have one opportunity to apply to the Northwest Ohio Regional Prevention Council for this funding opportunity.

Any organization wishing to apply is required to electronically submit a completed application packet by the following due date:
