Samantha Shafer

Samantha Shafer, LISW-S serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Integrated Services for Behavioral Health. Ms. Shafer has worked in the Behavioral Health field for over 15 years with a strong focus on highlighting the innate strengths of individuals and communities.

Ms. Shafer has a strong focus on expanding collaborative helping and harm reduction services across Ohio. This combined work highlights the need to merge behavioral health services with population health strategies such as the housing first model. Ms. Shafer also believes that the constant, and respectful, critique of ourselves and our systems is essential to meeting the needs of those we are dedicated to walk alongside and serve. She has experience with most every area of behavioral health, but over the years she has developed a special interest in children and families and substance use disorder treatment.

Prior to joining Integrated Services in 2014, Samantha served as the Director of Early Childhood Mental Health programming for Hopewell Health Centers. Recently, she worked in partnership with Fairfield County Children Services to implement the innovative practice of “Family Search and Engagement/Family Group Decision Making Model” as a collaborative way to reduce out of home placements.
